# Shopify title and meta-description templates

These are drafting patterns, not promises or keyword formulas. Replace every bracketed field with page-specific, verified language.

## Product

**Title:** `[Product name] – [distinguishing type or fact] | [Brand]`

**Description:** `[Product type] with [two verified facts]. Check [decision detail] and current availability.`

## Collection

**Title:** `[Category shoppers use] | [Brand]`

**Description:** `Compare [category] by [two useful dimensions]. Explore [range boundary] and current availability.`

## Blog post

**Title:** `[Question or task]: [useful qualifier]`

**Description:** `Learn [specific outcome], including [two or three sections the article actually contains].`

## Homepage

**Title:** `[Main product category and useful distinction] | [Brand]`

**Description:** `[What the store sells] with [verifiable distinction]. [Useful next action or range summary].`

## Review checklist

- [ ] Title and description describe this page rather than the whole catalog.
- [ ] The important category or question appears early.
- [ ] Every feature, material, price, offer and availability claim is current and visible.
- [ ] Title meaning agrees with the visible H1.
- [ ] Description previews content the page actually contains.
- [ ] Wording is natural and free of repeated near-synonyms.
- [ ] Shopify's approximate drafting guides are respected: about 60 characters for titles and 160 for descriptions, while recognizing that Google display length varies.
- [ ] Published source contains one intended title and meta description plus the correct canonical.
- [ ] Change date, owner and later Search Console review date are recorded.
- [ ] Search appearance, ranking, traffic and revenue are reported as separate outcomes.
