Free tools · Free AI visibility checker
Do ChatGPT and Perplexity recommend your store?
We ask both engines three buyer questions for your category and show whether your store is named, who is named instead and which sources are cited. Free, no sign-in.
Run the live check
Up to 3 live checks per day. A store checked in the last 7 days opens its saved result. The result gets its own link you can share.
Read the result for what it is.
- API answers can differ from what you see in the app: the consumer apps personalise, remember and change their answers.
- An answer that fails or times out is shown as unavailable, never counted as zero.
- It is one sample on one day. It does not predict or promise future recommendations, and it does not measure Google rankings.
Questions about the check
- Which AI engines does it ask?
- ChatGPT, through DataForSEO's ChatGPT scraper, and Perplexity's Sonar model through DataForSEO's API. Each gets the same three buyer questions for your category, asked for a shopper in the United States.
- Is my store's name sent to ChatGPT or Perplexity?
- No. The questions are generic buyer questions for your category. Your store is matched in the answers afterwards, by its name and domain. Where a one-word name is ambiguous, TypeSafe's Jev model is asked whether the answer means your store.
- Why might my store not be named?
- Answers to broad category questions tend to name a handful of well-known brands. A result is one sample on one day: answers change between runs, accounts and locations, and API answers can differ from what you see in the app.
- What does unavailable mean?
- The engine returned no usable answer, or the request did not finish. That answer is shown as unavailable and is never counted as zero visibility.
- How often can I run it?
- Up to 3 live checks per visitor per day. A store checked in the last 7 days opens the saved result instead of asking again, and the whole check pauses for the day when its budget is used.
Other ways to check
Open the manual citation checker to inspect an answer you paste; it runs in your browser with no AI calls. Scan your store for AI crawler rules, llms.txt and product markup. Signed-in accounts also get one saved AI report.
