The eleven checks
These editorial heuristics count headings, words, URL patterns and other writing features. They do not fetch links, verify facts or determine whether the opening answers its question. Review suggestions in context; they are separate from article quality gates.
Worked example: interpret the check, not just the score.
A fictional Shopify draft titled “Linen or cotton overshirt: which works in warm weather?” opens with a 42-word answer, uses three H2 sections, links to one product and quotes fabric weights of 140 gsm and 180 gsm.
What the audit can report
It can count the short opening, three headings, one distinct link and two figures. It will suggest reviewing headings, links and figures against its drafting defaults.
What a publisher must decide
Three sections and one product link may be exactly right. A person still has to verify the fabric weights, confirm the comparison answers the question and check every destination.
The downloadable Markdown record names the method and keeps every result note. Add the date and draft revision when using it in an editorial review; do not present the percentage as a quality, ranking or citation score.

Paste the title, the meta and the body
Markdown or plain text, up to 100,000 characters of body and 2,000 of title or meta. Mark headings with "## " so they can be counted. Nothing is stored and nothing is fetched from your site.
Eleven structure checks run
Title and meta length, heading and word counts, question patterns, URL counts, opening-paragraph length, template phrases, punctuation and numbers. These checks cannot understand or verify your argument.
Each check says pass or fix, and why
Each result reports a detected pattern or count. Check whether the suggestion makes sense for the topic before changing the draft.
Review facts before publishing
This free checklist is separate from Citelift’s article quality gates. Verify product facts, linked destinations and the answer itself before publishing.
Questions about this tool.
- Does passing eleven checks mean the post will rank?
- No. They are structure checks, not a ranking promise and not a check on whether the post is true. A well-structured post about nothing still deserves to be ignored.
- Does it verify that links point to products?
- No. It counts URL patterns without opening them. Use the links a reader needs; one relevant product may be enough. An article landing-page visit can also support attribution without a product-link click.
- What counts as template leakage?
- The phrases that give an unedited model draft away: "in conclusion", "delve into", "in today’s fast-paced world" and their relatives. One of them is a tell; several are a signature.
