Citelift on the Shopify App Store: how to install
Citelift is listed on the Shopify App Store as Citelift: AI SEO & AEO. How to install it, what it can access, how the trial works and how to uninstall.
Citelift is listed on the Shopify App Store as Citelift: AI SEO & AEO. The listing went live on 5 October 2026, sits in the SEO category and is the place to install the app, compare its three plans and leave a review. You can also start from citelift.app; either route ends with the same approval in your Shopify admin.
This page states what the listing showed when we checked it on 10 October 2026. Citelift publishes this page about its own app. The listing had no reviews on that date, and we have no merchant case studies to point to yet; the proof and progress page says what we can and cannot show.

How to install Citelift from the Shopify App Store
- Sign in to the Shopify store you want to use, as the owner or as staff allowed to install apps.
- Open Citelift's Shopify App Store listing and choose Install.
- Shopify shows the data the app asks to access. Read it, then approve.
- Choose a plan and approve it in your Shopify admin. Eligible stores get seven free days starting at that approval, not at install. Trial eligibility is per store, so reinstalling or switching plans does not reset it.
- Fill in the brand brief once: your voice, the product facts that matter and the claims to avoid. Citelift builds the first 30-day content plan from it.
- Pick your publishing days and review the calendar. On Core and Growth you can hold each article for approval before it publishes.
Nothing paid is generated until step 4. If you want to see whether AI assistants already name your store before installing anything, run the free AI visibility checker first; it needs no sign-in.
What the app asks to access
Shopify shows these permissions on the listing and again at install. The table lists them as the listing grouped them, with the job each does in Citelift where the product relies on it.
| Access shown on the listing | What Citelift uses it for |
|---|---|
| Products, inventory and collections | Planning topics from your catalog and checking every product fact an article states |
| Online Store | Publishing articles to your Shopify blog and reading back whether each one is live |
| Orders from the last 60 days | Crediting orders to the article that sent the shopper, under a stated seven-day rule |
| Store owner and blog contributor details, shopper device and activity data, and Shopify Markets settings | Listed by Shopify for the app; the privacy policy explains each use |
The privacy policy is the full account of what is collected, why and for how long.
App Store or citelift.app: which route to use
Both routes install the same app. The App Store route suits a merchant who starts in the Shopify admin; the citelift.app route suits someone who ran the free checker first and already has an account. In both, Shopify asks you to approve access, Shopify Billing handles the plan, and the seven-day trial starts at plan approval.
Installing does not tie you in. Plans run month to month or annually, cancelling takes one click, and the about page lists the contract terms, including the seven-day full refund after the trial.
How to uninstall Citelift
Remove the app from your Shopify admin's apps settings. The subscription ends with it and no new articles are written. Articles already published stay on your blog, because they live in your Shopify store rather than in Citelift. Your Citelift data is then deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy.
Before you install: three checks
- See where you stand. The free checker asks ChatGPT three buyer questions for your category and shows whether your store is named.
- Compare the alternatives. The Shopify SEO app guide sorts the established apps by job. Citelift covers recurring product-linked articles, not image compression or speed fixes.
- Read the limits. Citelift does not guarantee rankings, AI citations or sales. It reports what it observes: AI mentions in ChatGPT answers collected with web search on, which can differ from what the ChatGPT app shows, search performance when Search Console is connected, and attributed orders.
Questions.
Is Citelift on the Shopify App Store?
Yes. Citelift has been listed on the Shopify App Store since 5 October 2026, as Citelift: AI SEO & AEO at apps.shopify.com/citelift, in the SEO category. It had no reviews when we checked on 10 October 2026.
Can I connect my store without going through the App Store?
Yes. You can create an account on citelift.app and connect your store from there. It is the same app either way: access is approved in Shopify and the plan is billed through Shopify Billing.
Does installing Citelift start a charge?
No. Installing does not start paid AI generation. You choose a plan and approve it in your Shopify admin; eligible stores get seven free days starting at that approval. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the subscription charge.
What happens to my articles if I uninstall?
They stay on your store. Articles are published to your own Shopify blog, so removing the app stops new work without deleting what is already live. Your Citelift data is then deleted under the privacy policy.
