AI visibility
Whether, and how often, AI assistants name your brand when asked the buyer questions your category is judged on. It is measured by asking, never inferred from rankings.
AI visibility is not a rank and not a traffic number. It is the plain result of asking an assistant a buyer's question and reading whether your brand appears in the reply. Because the answer changes with the wording, the engine and the day, a single question tells you little. A useful measurement uses a fixed set of questions written the way buyers ask them, without your brand name in the prompt, asked of more than one engine, repeated on a schedule so you can see movement. Citelift's manual checker prepares category questions and analyzes answers you paste locally, without an account or API calls. The separate free AI report requires sign-in and a verified email; it samples three search-backed GPT-5 nano API answers once per account and verified email. Paid stores can run API-based visibility checks monthly or weekly. Two things keep the measurement honest. The questions must not lead the assistant toward you, and the result must distinguish "not checked yet" from "checked and not named". API answers can differ from what the consumer apps show, so read a result as a trend rather than a fact about every chat. Visibility rises when the pages an assistant reads for those questions start to include yours.
